Executive level promotions announced: Alicia Yoo

Mortgage broker American Financial Group in Cerritos, Calif., has promoted Alicia Yoo to executive vice president. With the company for over 10 years, she started as a processor, and was then promoted to underwriter, compliance administrator and operations manager.

In her new position as executive vice president, Yoo will oversee sales, processing and compliance functions. A resident of Cypress, Calif., Yoo is married and has a 1-year-old daughter. Although of Korean decent,she was born in Ecuador and speaks Spanish fluently, exemplifying the cultural integration that characterizes American Financial Group. Co-founded in 1989 by Vietnamese immigrant Vince Tran, the company has grown by 35 percent

each of the last seven years, funding over $3 billion in loan volume since its inception.
